Meet our team

Robert Taylor
Co-Founder / Managing Director

Rob returned to New Zealand after his OE to join Gareth Morgan Investments. Over 14 years — predominantly as General Manager Operations — he played an instrumental role in the firm’s growth from a start-up to a business with 200 employees and $10 billion in funds under management.

In 2018, Rob left Kiwi Wealth to work directly within Gareth Morgan’s family office. In 2023, he and Dave founded Prosper.

Rob brings broad experience across investment strategy, portfolio management, tax and regulatory environments. His particular strength lies in combining deep operational expertise with front-office investment experience to advise, construct and manage robust, well-structured portfolios. He is responsible for Prosper’s investment strategy and operations, and works closely with clients as their principal contact.

David Bruce
Co-Founder

Dave was part of the founding team at Gareth Morgan Investments, where he led the firm’s technology development and built many of the systems that supported its growth. Working closely with Rob in the early years, he focused on creating robust platforms and processes that allowed the business to scale efficiently.

After four years working with the Morgan family office, Dave co-founded Prosper Asset Management with Rob — bringing his focus on well-designed systems, continual development, and high-quality client service to building a modern, independent multi-family office.

Andrew Courtney
Investment Analyst

Andrew’s background is in economic policy and institutional investment management. He began his career with a philanthropic trust before he too spent time at Gareth Morgan's family office. Having relocated to London, Andrew worked as an equities analyst covering investment trusts and global markets before returning to New Zealand to reunite with Dave and Rob at Prosper. Andrew concentrates on portfolio management and investment strategy. He has a degree in economics and a master’s from the University of Canterbury. Outside of talking about markets, Andrew enjoys debating with the Prosper founders which of their hometowns of Timaru, Blenheim, or Ōtorohanga is superior (his vote is for Blenheim).
